Major Injury Crash at Rockford Avenue and Alta Robles Avenue
PORTERVILLE, Calif. (June 21, 2023) — A major injury Porterville crash happened Wednesday at Road 208 and Avenue 176 also known as Rockford and Alta Robles avenues.
The two-vehicle collision occurred around 5:15 a.m. on June 21st in Tulare County, according to the California Highway Patrol dispatch. A woman called 911 to report the injury crash that involved her brother.
The drivers of a white work truck and a blue 4-door sedan were involved. It’s unknown what led up to the accident at the intersection controlled by stop signs for drivers approaching Avenue 208 on Avenue 176. A stop sign was knocked down by one of the vehicles in the crash and traffic lanes were partially blocked.
Paramedics responded to help at least one person with major injuries and transport them to a hospital.
Meanwhile, the Upland Police Department is heading up the investigation to determine fault for the Upland pedestrian accident on Foothill Boulevard.
