Semi-Truck, Car Crash in Porterville on Highway 190
PORTERVILLE, Calif. (June 21, 2024) — A fatal Porterville traffic accident involving a semi-truck happened Tuesday night at Avenue 144 and State Route Highway 190.
The two-vehicle collision occurred at South Westwood Street on SR-190 at around 8:50 p.m. on June 18th, according to a California Highway Patrol report. There are stop signs posted in all four directions at this intersection.
CHP officials received a 911 call about the collision between the big rig truck and a black sedan. Paramedics from the Tulare County Fire Department were also alerted to the collision involving injuries.
However, at least one person was confirmed dead shortly after they arrived on the scene.
It’s unknown at this time what led up to the Porterville traffic accident, but investigators are working on the case.
