Salvador Arellano-Espinoza arrested on suspicion of DUI, Hit-and-run
PORTERVILLE, Calif. (April 3, 2024) – Salvador Arellano-Espinoza, 57, was arrested on suspicion of DUI and hit-and-run charges for a pedestrian accident on West Henderson Avenue in Porterville.
The collision occurred in the 1200 Block of West Henderson Avenue at around 8:10 p.m. on April 2nd, according to the Porterville Police Department and Your Central Valley News.
The suspect’s vehicle reportedly struck the victim and the driver fled the scene without stopping to help the person who suffered major injuries.
Paramedics responded and transported the person to the hospital for treatment of undisclosed injuries.
Investigators say a witness followed the suspect’s vehicle to a business in the 700 Block of South Jaye Street, the report said.
Officers located the suspect Salvador Arellano-Espinoza and arrested him on hit-and-run and driving under the influence with both charges causing injury.
Authorities booked the suspect into the South County Detention Facility where he is being held in lieu of a $50,000.00 bail.
