PORTERVILLE (March 5, 2018) – An alleged drunk driver tried to evade the scene of an auto accident that occurred in the area of Putnam Avenue and Indiana Street Sunday morning.

According to Fresno Bee, 28-year-old Ray Baldwin was traveling north on Indiana Street at approximately 10:48 a.m. The incident occurred when Baldwin ran a red light in the intersection and struck a vehicle on Putnam Avenue.

The collision caused the second car to hit a third vehicle that was stopped on Indiana Street for a red light.

Primary reports indicated that Baldwin allegedly continued driving following the wreck despite the significant damage to his vehicle. The man only came to a stop when he struck a fence in the area.

Responding medical personnel rendered aid to the victims found at the crash site. As per the article, two innocent parties were provided treatment for unspecified injuries that were sustained in the collision.

Meanwhile, police officers arrested Baldwin without incident after he displayed symptoms of being under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
