The accident involving three vehicles took place near Highway 168.
As per the article, California Highway Patrol said 34-year-old Jesus Diaz Santoyo was driving east on Highway 190 when he slowed to make a turn.
Subsequently, a car driven by 28-year-old Araseli Barajas struck Santoyo’s vehicle which was forced into path of a westbound Honda operated by 47-year-old Armando Garcia.
Santoyo and an occupant in the Honda, 32-year-old Jesus Fernandez, were seriously injured. Garcia and his two other male passengers sustained minor injuries.
All five wounded victims were hospitalized. Barajas was unharmed.
Meanwhile, CHP affirmed that all the parties involved are from Porterville. Authorities are still investigating the incident.
