Precious Flowers, 28, Arrested Fatal Crash on San Juan Road in Sacramento

3 Killed, 8 Injured in Solo-Vehicle Car Accident

SACRAMENTO, Calif (June 14, 2023) — Precious Flowers, 28, of Sacramento, has been arrested on multiple charges after a solo car crash left three dead and eight injured in Natomas.

The Sacramento Police Department arrested the woman Sunday and booked her into the Sacramento County Main Jail. She faces three counts of vehicular manslaughter with gross negligence and nine counts of child endangerment, according to ABC 10 News.

She could also face additional charges, however, the investigation is ongoing and it’s unclear if Flowers was driving the vehicle, police said.

2 Children, 1 Adult Killed in Crash

The traffic accident occurred around 8:15 p.m. on May 31st in the 900 block of San Juan Road in south Natomas. The car packed with 11 people crashed into a tree after its driver lost control.

Precious Flowers was one of two adults in the vehicle. The second adult, Rayshawna Armstrong, 25, died in the crash along with two children identified as Alexander Leon, 5, and Zayden Mangram, 3. The other seven children were all under eight years old and suffered a range of injuries including one named Uriah with a broken nose, a fractured leg ( femur), punctured liver and lung. Other children were treated for injuries including broken necks, legs and arms, and four were fighting for their lives, family members said.

Witnesses told news reporters the occupants were all wearing swimsuits and were driving home from a trip to a swimming pool.

Authorities believe that speed was a factor in the collision, but the crash remains under investigation.

The crash is still under investigation, but police say speed could have been a contributing factor.
