Tow Truck Driver Struck, Killed on Freeway
LOS ANGELES, Calif. (June 2, 2023) — Tow truck driver, Presiliano Chavez, 41, of Sun Valley, was struck and killed as he worked on the Interstate 5 Freeway Wednesday night near Griffith Park.
The deadly pedestrian accident occurred around 11:15 p.m. on May 31st, near Zoo Drive, according to MyNewsLA.

The tow truck driver was loading a disabled vehicle onto the back of his truck when an oncoming southbound 2012 Nissan Versa struck him .
Paramedics with the Los Angeles Fire Department responded to the scene and located the critically injured man, but sadly Presiliano Chavez died on scene.
Meanwhile, the driver of the Nissan, Rachel Fewings, 33, of Los Angeles, stopped and cooperated with the investigation. No arrests were made.
The California Highway Patrol is heading up an investigation into what happened and will determine fault for the fatal pedestrian accident.
