1 Seriously Injured in Prunedale Crash on Highway 156 Near Valley Road
PRUNEDALE, CA (December 18, 2021) – At least one was seriously injured after a car crash on Highway 156 near Valley Road in Prunedale.
According to the California Highway Patrol dispatch team, the accident took place on Saturday evening. Officers reported the wreck shortly after 6 p.m.
CHP said a vehicle struck the rear of another for an unknown reason in Prunedale. The two crashed on westbound Highway 156 near the intersection with Valley Road.
Multiple Cars Collide
The report described one of the cars involved as a white sedan which obtained major front-end damage due to the impact of the collision. The other vehicle went 50 feet down embankment.
Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene near Cermeno Way. They found one person who ended up suffering from major injuries as a result of the wreck.
Medical personnel then took the wounded party to the Sutter Auburn Faith Hospital for treatment. The report did not release the name of the patient and their condition at this time.
Meanwhile, CHP forced a stretch of Highway 156 to shut down for an hour following the wreck. The cause of the Prunedale crash is still under investigation.
