1 Seriously Injured in Prunedale Crash on San Miguel Canyon Road Near Castroville
PRUNEDALE, CA (February 15, 2022) – At least one was seriously injured after a crash on San Miguel Canyon Road in Prunedale.
The California Highway Patrol first logged the accident on Monday morning. According to their dispatch, officers reported the wreck at about 5:36 a.m.
The incident happened on February 14 when two vehicles collided for an unknown reason in Prunedale. The two crashed at 2197 San Miguel Canyon Road.
2 Cars Collide
CHP described the two cars as an SUV and a pickup truck. Both vehicles plunged 20 feet down an embankment upon impact.
Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene near the intersection with Castroville Boulevard. They found one person who sustained from major injuries as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel then took the patient to a hospital for treatment. The report did not release the name of the wounded party and their condition at this time.
Meanwhile, CHP forced the westbound lane of San Miguel Canyon Road to shut down for more than one hour following the wreck. The cause of the Prunedale crash is still under investigation.
