Driver of Pickup Veers Into Minivan Causing Head-on Crash
DATE OF COLLISION: Thursday, Novembers 8th
November 9, 2018- According to the California Highway Patrol, an injury head-on crash was reported yesterday afternoon on Highway 108 near La Grange Road.
CHP officials responded to the accident which transpired at 1:30 p.m. roughly between a pickup truck hauling a trailer and a minivan.
According to officials, the driver of the pickup ID’d as Patrick Sullivan, 50, of Jamestown, had been traveling in an unknown direction on Highway 108 before crossing into oncoming traffic and hitting the minivan driven by Qing Zheng, 55, of Sacramento.
The wreck resulted in the minivan having significant front-end damage leaving Zheng with injuries only described as minor for which she did not appear to have been taken to the hospital for.
Meanwhile, Sullivan did not seem to have been injured based on the information provided.
Folllowing the wreck, a small fire broke out on the grass adjacent to the highway. The fire department was contacted and quickly extinguished to flames leaving the damage to only under 1/4 of an acre.
One way traffic control was implemented for around 30 minutes while CHP investigated and gathered evidence to help with there traffic collision report.
