PERRIS, California (June 26, 2016) – A quad rider was hit and seriously injured at the intersection of Theda Street and Betty Road on Sunday afternoon, according to a California Highway Patrol dispatch.
CHP first logged the incident when a 4-wheeler ATV was struck by a vehicle on a dirt road at 2:07 p.m. The rider was thrown off the bike following the collision.
As per the report log, fire department officials along with the paramedics responded to the scene to attend to and transport the victim to a nearby hospital with major injuries.
The name and condition of the patient at this time remained unknown.
Authorities will continue to investigate the cause of the accident.
