2 Injured in Phelan Crash Highway 138
PHELAN, Calif. (June 7, 2024) — At least one person who was riding a quad was seriously injured Friday afternoon in a crash involving an SUV on Highway 138 near Rancho Del La Garto in San Bernardino County.
The two-vehicle collision occurred at around 12:56 p.m. on June 7th, just west of the Interstate 15 Freeway, according to the California Highway Patrol.
CHP dispatch operators reported the quad and the white SUV collided due to unknown circumstances.
Paramedics responded and transported the quad rider by ambulance to Arrowhead Regional Medical Center for treatment of a possible major head injury. A second person was injured injured in the crash and taken to a hospital. It’s unknown if that person was on the quad in from the SUV.
Furthermore, the CHP report stated someone offered deputies a video recording of the crash for evidence.
Finally, investigators are working on the case to determine fault for the Phelan crash on Highway 138.
