Pedestrian Injured in Quartz Hill Hit-and-Run at 40th Street West and Avenue L
QUARTZ HILL, CA (October 13, 2021) – A pedestrian was injured after a hit-and-run crash at 40th Street West and Avenue L in Quartz Hill.
The California Highway Patrol said the incident took place on Wednesday night. According to their dispatch, officers reported the accident shortly after 8 p.m.
CHP determined that a vehicle struck the pedestrian in Quartz Hill. The driver hit the person for an unknown reason at the intersection of 40th Street West and West Avenue L.
Victim Hit by Vehicle
Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene near the city of Lancaster. They found the victim who ended up hurt as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel then treated the patient for the unspecified injuries they sustained in the incident. Officials did not release the name of the wounded party and their condition at this time.
Meanwhile, CHP affirmed that the motorist did not stop to help and fled the area. Officers forced the intersection of 40th Street West and Avenue L to close following the collision.
The cause of the Quartz Hill hit-and-run crash is still under investigation.
