Man Fatally Struck by Vehicle Near Olive Avenue
Sonoma, CA (September 15, 2022) – Querubin Hernandez-Gutierrez, a 29-year-old man, died following a pedestrian accident that occurred on Arnold Drive.
The Press Democrat News reported Hernandez-Gutierrez was standing beside a tractor stopped at the shoulder of Arnold Drive. According to the article published online, the pedestrian appeared to be having a conversation with the operator of the parked tractor.
For reasons still unclear, an oncoming vehicle drifted onto the shoulder of Arnold Drive. Our sources indicated the Ford Explorer slammed into the rear of the trailer. The SUV continued moving and ended up hitting the man standing beside the tractor.
Deadly Pedestrian Accident on Arnold Drive in Sonoma
Rescue teams arrived at the location shortly after 1:22 a.m. Responding paramedics sadly pronounced the pedestrian dead. The Sonoma County Sheriff’s Office identified the fatal victim as Querubin Hernandez-Gutierrez, of Napa.
Authorities added the tractor operator sustained minor injuries as a result of the collision. An ambulance transported the injured party to Providence Queen of the Valley Medical Center in Napa for further treatment and evaluation.
At this time, detectives continue to investigate the precise cause of the deadly accident that happened on Arnold Drive in Sonoma Valley.
