Raeleen Sorensen and Raegen Sorensen Taft Highway Car Crash
BAKERSFIELD (July 21, 2017)- According to the California Highway Patrol and Bakersfield Now, a deadly collision took place Thursday evening on Taft Highway involving a semi-truck and a vehicle where two women sadly lost their lives.
The incident was reported at 5:44 p.m. when a semi-truck who witnesses say had been driving recklessly swerved into oncoming traffic and struck a white Ford sedan head-on.
Both the driver and passenger, Raeleen Sorensen, 51, and Raegen Sorensen, 19, tragically suffered fatal injuries and were pronounced at the scene.
Vincent Moroyoqui Arrested for DUI Bakersfield Crash
Meanwhile, the driver of the semi-truck identified as Vincent Moroyoqi, 34, was seriously injured and transported to a hospital for his injuries. Authorities suspect that Moroyoqui had been under the influence of alcohol which likely contributed to the collision.
