Rafael De La Torre Jr, 45, ID’d Suspect in Jurupa Valley DUI Crash on Limonite
JURUPA VALLEY, CA (April 30, 2023) – Authorities detained Rafael De La Torre Jr after a DUI crash on Limonite Avenue in Jurupa Valley.
The Riverside County Sheriff’s Department determined that the 45-year-old man was under the influence of alcohol when the wreck occurred on Saturday.
The incident began when Rafael De La Torre Jr was driving along Limonite Avenue in Jurupa Valley. Deputies said he then slammed into another vehicle in the 9900 block of the road.
The cars crashed near the intersection with Homestead Street. My News LA wrote that the accident took place on April 29 at around 5:30 p.m.
Woman and Teen Injured in Wreck
The two people riding the victim car, a 43-year-old woman and a 13-year-old boy, ended up hurt. Both sustained minor injuries as a result of the collision.
Paramedics arrived at the scene and rushed the patients to a hospital for treatment. The names of the wounded parties and their condition at this time were not disclosed.
Meanwhile, Rafael De La Torre survived the crash with unknown injuries. Medical personnel transported him for further aid.
Deputies soon arrested Rafael De La Torre for DUI resulting in injury. They booked the suspect into the Robert Presley Detention Center following the wreck.
