3 Injured in Crash on 15 Freeway and Rainbow Valley Boulevard
RAINBOW, CA (December 10, 2022) – Several were hospitalized after a car crash on the 15 Freeway and Rainbow Valley Boulevard in Rainbow.
According to an article published by the Village News, the accident took place on Thursday evening. Officers reported the wreck on December 8 at about 7:45 p.m.
The North County Fire Protection District said two vehicles collided for an unknown reason. The cars crashed on the southbound 15 Freeway at Rainbow Valley Boulevard.
Driver Hits Road Workers
One vehicle veered and then struck two roadway workers in the area. Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene and freed one trapped occupant from a car involved.
The workers and the rescued individual ended up hurt as a result of the collision. Medical personnel then rushed the patients to the Palomar Medical Center in Escondido for treatment of unspecified injuries.
The report did not disclose the names of the wounded parties and their condition at this time. Meanwhile, the cause of the crash is still under investigation.
Officers forced the southbound lanes of the 15 Freeway to shut down near Rainbow Valley following the wreck.
