Pedestrian Seriously Injured in Raisin City Crash on Bowles Avenue Near Market
RAISIN CITY, CA (September 1, 2021) – A pedestrian was seriously injured after a crash on Bowles Avenue near a grocery store in Raisin City.
The California Highway Patrol dispatch team said the accident occurred on Wednesday evening. Officers reported the incident at about 6:45 p.m.
According to CHP, a pickup truck hit the pedestrian for an unknown reason in Raisin City. The car struck the person at 6234 West Bowles Avenue.
Victim Hit by Car
Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene in front of the Raisin City Market. They found the victim who sustained major injuries as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel then took the wounded party to a hospital for treatment. Officials did not disclose the name of the patient and their condition at the moment.
Meanwhile, CHP did not mention if the driver stopped and stayed at the site after hitting the victim. Officers forced a stretch of Bowles Avenue to close for a time following the collision.
The cause of the Raisin City pedestrian crash is still under investigation.
