1 Dead, 2 Injured in Lancaster Collision at Seventh and East
LANCASTER, Calif. (July 20, 2018) – Ralph Johnson, 62, has been identified as the man who died in a crash Thursday night at Avenue I and North Seventh Street, according to the Los Angeles County Coroner.
Two others were badly injured in the collision.
The collision took place about 10:30 p.m. last night between an SUV and a car.
The police report stated that the driver of a 2000 Ford Taurus was heading west on Avenue I near Seventh Street when they allegedly turned into the path of a 2007 Nissan Armada SUV. The impact killed the driver of the Ford and injured two passengers in the same vehicle. A backseat passenger in the Ford suffered major injuries and was hospitalized along with a second passenger who suffered moderate injuries.
The driver in the SUV was alone in their vehicle and had complaints of pain after the crash.
The cause of the crash and liability remains under investigation.

At this time, it appears that the driver of the Ford Taurus may be responsible for the collision.
