Ramon Leon, 52, Killed in Banning Crash on Eastbound Interstate 10
BANNING, CA (July 11, 2021) – Ramon Leon was killed after a car crash on the Interstate 10 in Banning.
The coroner’s office identified the 52-year-old man as the victim of the fatal wreck which occurred on Saturday afternoon.
The incident happened when Ramon Leon was riding a vehicle on the eastbound Interstate 10 in Banning. For an unknown reason, their car and another vehicle collided near Hargrave Street.
My News LA wrote that the accident took place on July 10 shortly before 1:40 p.m.
2 Vehicles Collide Near Hargrave Street
One of the cars involved overturned onto its side and came to a stop against a tree. The Riverside County Fire Department said one person became ejected from a vehicle upon impact.
Ramon Leon died at the scene of the crash. Firefighters along with the paramedics found a total of six people who ended up hurt as a result of the collision.
Three patients sustained serious injuries while the other three survived with minor wounds. Medical personnel took all wounded parties to a hospital for treatment.
Meanwhile, officers forced the Nos 3 and 4 lanes on the eastbound Interstate 10 and the Hargrave off-ramp to shut down following the wreck. The cause of the Banning crash is still under investigation.
