Ramon Reyno, 82, Killed in La Puente Hit-and-Run Crash on Valley Boulevard
LA PUENTE, CA (August 26, 2020) – An elderly pedestrian was killed after an alleged hit-and-run collision along Valley Boulevard on Monday morning.
The California Highway Patrol identified the deceased victim as 82-year-old Ramon Reyno, a resident of Los Angeles.
According to an article published by the KTLA News, CHP said the incident happened on August 24 when Reyno was walking on Valley Boulevard.
At the same time, a pickup truck was traveling westbound. For an unknown reason, the vehicle swerved right and crossed over the sidewalk.
Officers determined that the driver of the pickup then struck the elderly man. The accident occurred at around 9:45 a.m., west of Giano Avenue.

Fire department officials along with the paramedics responded to the scene and found Reyno left lying on the ground and suffering from major injuries as a result of the crash.
Medical personnel rushed him to Pomona Valley Medical Hospital, where he later died. Meanwhile, the motorist did not stop to render aid and continued westbound on Valley Boulevard.
Officers described the suspect car as a white 1990s Ford Ranger with a landscaping business logo on the doors, and landscaping equipment in the truck’s open bed area.
The truck apparently sustained a broken right-side headlight and damage along its right side. The tragic incident remains under investigation.
