Merced Man, 44, Fatally Struck by Vehicle at Yosemite Parkway and Almond Avenue
Merced, CA (November 29, 2021) – Ramon Tristan, a 44-year-old Merced resident, died following a pedestrian accident that occurred in the area of Yosemite Parkway and Almond Avenue.
The Merced Sun-Star News reported a male pedestrian was crossing with a dog an intersection in Merced. For an unknown reason, an oncoming Ford Focus did not see and struck Ramon Tristan. The horrible crash took place around 5:42 p.m.
Deadly Pedestrian Accident in Merced, November 26
When emergency crews arrived at the location, they found the victim lying on the ground. Paramedics performed life-saving measures to the pedestrian but he sadly succumbed to his injuries and died at the scene. The Merced County Sheriff Coroner’s Office confirmed the identity of the deceased as Ramon Tristan, of Merced.
Meanwhile, authorities mentioned the driver involved in the unfortunate event stayed at the site and cooperated with the investigation process.
Detectives continue to work at this time to determine liability in the deadly pedestrian accident at Yosemite Parkway and Almond Avenue in Merced.
