At Least 1 Killed in Collision on Highway 78 Tuesday
Ramona, CA (October 26, 2021) – A deadly car accident occurred Tuesday afternoon on State Route Highway 78, according to the California Highway Patrol dispatch.
Initial records indicated a vehicle veered off the roadway white traveling on the freeway in Ramona. Authorities said the car ended up slamming into a tree along Highway 78. At this time, the make and model of the automobile involved in the catastrophic incident remained unknown.
The CHP logged the crash at approximately 2:15 p.m.

When medical personnel arrived at the location, they immediately attended to all parties found with injuries. Paramedics reportedly performed life-saving measures to at least one person. Sadly, the victim succumbed to their injuries and died. Police continue to withhold the identity of the deceased pending confirmation and notification of next of kin.
Detectives stayed at the scene the whole afternoon to investigate exactly how and why the deadly car accident in Ramona happened.
