1 Killed, 2 Injured in Ramona Crash on State Route 67 Near Mussey Grade Road
RAMONA, CA (September 19, 2022) – A car crash killed one person and injured two others on State Route 67 and Mussey Grade Road in Ramona.
The incident happened when two vehicles collided for an unknown reason in Ramona. The California Highway Patrol said they crashed on northbound State Route 67 near Mussey Grade Road.
Witnesses described the two cars a Toyota Prius and a Toyota pickup truck. The pickup truck rolled over due to the impact of the collision.
2 Cars Collide
Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene and found a total of three people hurt. Ground and air ambulances took the patients to the Palomar Medical Center, where one of them died.
The other two victims sustained minor and moderate injuries as a result of the wreck. The names of the deceased and wounded parties have not been yet released.
Meanwhile, CHP forced northbound state Route 67 to shut down near Mussey Grade between Archie Moore and Dye roads for hours following the incident.
The cause of the fatal Ramona crash is still under investigation.
