Ramona crash State Route 67 Mussey
1 Killed, 1 Injured in Ramona Crash on State Route 67 Near Mussey Grade
RAMONA, CA (June 6, 2022) – A crash killed one person and injured another on State Route 67 near Mussey Grade Road in Ramona.
According to the San Diego Union-Tribune and FOX 5 News, the tragic accident took place on Monday afternoon. Officers reported the wreck at about 4:15 p.m.
The California Highway Patrol said two sedans collided head-on for an unknown reason in Ramona. They crashed on State Route 67 near Mussey Grade Road.
Multiple Cars Involved in Wreck
A third vehicle then became involved in the incident. One of the cars ended up in a ditch off the highway as a result of the collision.
Firefighters along with the paramedics arrived and soon pronounced one individual dead at the scene. Medical personnel treated another patient for the minor injuries they sustained in the wreck
The names of the deceased and wounded parties have not been yet released. Meanwhile, CHP forced the southbound lanes of State Route 67 to shut down near Mussey for several hours following the wreck.
The cause of the fatal Ramona crash is still under investigation.
