1 Injured in Ramona Hit-and-Run Crash at Olive and Lamar Streets
RAMONA, CA (February 7, 2022) – A hit-and-run crash injured at least one person at Olive Street and Lamar Street in Ramona.
The California Highway Patrol received a call about the accident on Sunday evening. According to their dispatch, officers reported the wreck at around 7:14 p.m.
The incident happened on February 6 when two vehicles collided for an unknown reason in Ramona. They crashed at the intersection of Olive and Lamar streets.
2 Vehicles Collide
Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene near State Route 78. They found one individual who ended up hurt as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel then treated the victim for the unspecified injuries they sustained in the wreck. The name of the wounded patient and their condition at this time were not disclosed.
Meanwhile, CHP affirmed that a driver involved did not stop to render aid and fled westbound on Olive. The suspect continued on State Route 78 toward Escondido.
Officers forced the area of Olive and Lamar streets to shut down following the incident. The cause of the Ramona hit-and-run crash is still under investigation.
