Bicyclist Injured in Rancho Cordova Hit-and-Run Crash on Folsom Boulevard
RANCHO CORDOVA, CA (July 1, 2021) – A bicyclist was injured after a hit-and-run crash on Folsom Boulevard in Rancho Cordova.
According to the California Highway Patrol dispatch team, the accident occurred on Wednesday evening. Officers reported the incident on June 30 at about 7:26 p.m.
CHP said a vehicle struck the bicycle rider for an unknown reason in Rancho Cordova. The driver hit the cyclist at 11325 Folsom Boulevard near Grennan Court.

Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene and found the victim left wounded in the roadway as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel then provided treatment to the patient for the unspecified injuries they sustained in the accident. Officials did not disclose the name of the bicyclist and their condition at this time.
Meanwhile, CHP affirmed that the motorist did not stop to render aid to the bicycle rider and fled the area. They are still searching for the suspect.
Officers forced a portion of Folsom Boulevard to shut down following the hit-and-run crash. The cause of the Rancho Cordova collision is still under investigation.
