2-Vehicle Crash in Rancho Cordova on Highway 50
RANCHO CORDOVA, Calif. (March 15, 2022) — A two-vehicle Rancho Cordova car accident happened Tuesday morning on Highway 50 at Sunrise Boulevard.
The Rancho Cordova crash happened about 6:47 a.m. on March 15th, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The drivers of a white Tesla and a dark sedan collided, leaving the Tesla with moderate front-end damage.
A witness told CHP dispatch operators that the dark sedan struck the “center divider and then shot across lanes and hit a retaining wall on the right shoulder.”
The Tesla wound up facing the sideways, blocking the Nos. 1 and 2 lanes of the highway.
Meanwhile, the Sacramento Fire Department responded to help those injured, but it’s unknown if they transported anyone to a hospital.
Investigators are working on the case and will determine fault for the car accident on Highway 50.
