2 Hospitalized After Collision on Highway 50 Friday
Rancho Cordova, CA (August 23, 2021) – On August 20, Friday, a car accident occurred on Highway 50 just east of Bradshaw Road.
The CBS Sacramento reported a driver apparently fell asleep while traveling on the freeway in Rancho Cordova. As a result, the car drifted into the center median and slammed into the concrete barrier. The force from the impact caused the car to careen back across all lanes.
Authorities said the vehicle came to a rest after hitting the metal guard rail along the side of the highway.

Shortly after 5:30 p.m., emergency crews arrived at the crash site. Responding paramedics rendered aid to both the driver and passenger of the vehicle. Due to the condition of the two parties, paramedics transported them to the hospital for treatment.
The names of the patients remained undisclosed pending confirmation.
Further investigation on the car accident in Rancho Cordova is underway.
