2-Vehicle Collision on State Route 50 in Rancho Cordova
Rancho Cordova, CA (December 5, 2024) – A car accident involving a white pickup truck and a blue Toyota Solara happened Thursday afternoon on Highway 50, just west of Bradshaw Road.
One person was injured in the collision on eastbound SR-50 in Rancho Cordova, according to the California Highway Patrol (CHP).
The traffic accident was reported at 1:53 p.m. on Thursday, December 5th, the CHP reports.
Paramedics from the Sacramento Fire Department responded to the scene shortly after the crash. Upon arrival, they discovered that the driver of the blue Toyota Solara had suffered injuries and was unconscious.
The impact of the crash caused the Toyota to spin around and face the wrong direction in the fast lane on the highway. Authorities are investigating the circumstances leading up to the crash, but it remains unclear how the vehicles collided or if either driver was at fault.
CHP officials have not yet released the identities of those involved. The driver of the Toyota was quickly attended to by paramedics and transported to a nearby hospital for further evaluation.
Motorists were advised to expect delays in the area as authorities worked to clear the scene and investigate the incident. The CHP is continuing its investigation into the crash, and further details will be released as they become available.
The white pickup truck involved in the accident appeared to have sustained minor damage, and the driver reportedly had no serious injuries.
