Motorcyclist Seriously Injured in Crash at Sunrise Boulevard On-Ramp to Highway 50
RANCHO CORDOVA (June 7, 2019) – A motorcyclist was seriously injured after a traffic collision along Highway 50 Friday afternoon.
A motorcycle and a black colored Toyota sedan collided for an unknown reason at the Sunrise Boulevard on-ramp to eastbound Highway 50.
According to California Highway Patrol dispatch team, the car ended up on the right hand shoulder following the wreck. The accident was reported at about 5:16 p.m.

Fire department officials along with the paramedics responded to the scene and attended to the rider who was found lying in the roadway with major injuries as a result of the crash.
The patient was then transported to the hospital to be treated for a spinal cord injury. The name and condition of the wounded party were not immediately available.
Meanwhile, the ramp was forced to temporarily shut down following the wreck. Authorities are still investigating the cause of the incident.
