2-Vehicle Rancho Cordova Crash on Grant Line Road
RANCHO CORDOVA, Calif. (May 24, 2022) — A semi-truck and pickup collided Tuesday on Grant Line Road in Rancho Cordova near the Teichert Aggregates construction material plant.
The two-vehicle crash occurred about 8:28 a.m. on May 24th, just north of the entrance to Teichert Aggregates and Reymer Way, according to the California Highway Patrol.
A driver in a black Chevrolet Silverado collided with a commercial semi-truck due to unknown reasons. The roadway where the collision happened is near a curve and has double yellow lines with only two traffic lanes.
CHP officials reported the semi truck “caught on fire multiple times” following the crash. There was an unknown amount of fuel spilled into the roadway.
The fire department responded to the scene to help those hurt and handle the fire situation. At least one person suffered minor injuries in the crash, but there are no further details.
Meanwhile, a tow truck responded to remove the pickup truck with major front-end damage from the roadway.
Investigators are working to determine what led up to the collision and fault for the Rancho Cordova crash on Grant Line Road.
