RANCHO CUCAMONGA, Calif., (Oct. 7, 2026) — A two-vehicle car accident occurred in Rancho Cucamonga Wednesday on the I-15 Freeway South near Foothill Boulevard, resulting in major damage to one vehicle, authorities said.

The incident was reported on Oct. 7th at approximately 9:05 a.m. in Rancho Cucamonga. The drivers of a blue Toyota Corolla and a grey Ford F-150 pickup truck collided, leaving the vehicles on the left shoulder and in the No. 1 lane, respectively. According to the California Highway Patrol, the Toyota sustained major rear-end damage.

Emergency responders were dispatched to the scene, arriving shortly after the call was made. The responding units were quick to assess the situation and requested towing services for the damaged vehicles. The driver of a gray Ford F-150 involved in the collision reported that their vehicle remained driveable despite the incident.

The collision caused temporary blockage of the No. 1 and No. 2 lanes, leading to a brief disruption in traffic flow. The Rancho Cucamonga traffic division is currently investigating the cause of the collision and encourages any witnesses to come forward with information.
