RANCHO CUCAMONGA, California (January 13, 2016) — Yolanda Maritano, 88, of Rancho Cucamonga was killed Tuesday afternoon when her car was struck by a train on Vineyard Avenue, just north of 8th Street, a report by the San Bernardino County Sheriff Coroner said.
The fatal train crash was reported at 12:19 p.m. Paramedics responded to the 911 call, but she was pronounced dead at the scene.
The crash is under investigation by the San Bernardino County Sheriff-Coroner Department, Major Accident Investigation Team.
