Preliminary report stated that a man identified as 26-year-old Jesse Cota was driving a Honda Civic on the eastbound of the roadway when he suddenly side-swept a Nissan Frontier.
The force from the impact was significant, resulting in the two occupants from the Nissan injured along with the Honda driver Cota.
The wounded parties from the Nissan were transported to a nearby medical facility for treatment of their sustained minor trauma.
Meanwhile, the Press Enterprise published that Cota was treated before he was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs and booked into Indio Larson Justice Center.
