RANCHO MIRAGE, California (August 5, 2014) – One person is dead and one injured following a 2-vehicle crash Sunday afternoon at the intersection of Bob Hope Drive and Dinah Shore Drive, according to a press release by the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department.
About 2:34 p.m., Riverside police say one car overturned in the crash, but there were no further details about the accident. One of the drivers were taken by paramedics to a local hospital, but he later died. The second driver was hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries.
The Palm Desert Sheriff Station Traffic Reconstruction Team is heading up an investigation into the cause of the accident and will assign liability.
