Man, 50, Fatally Struck by Vehicle on Carmel Mountain Road Near Freeport Road Saturday
Rancho Peñasquitos, CA (September 5, 2021) – A deadly pedestrian accident occurred on Carmel Mountain Road Saturday evening, the San Diego Union-Tribune reported.
Our sources indicated a vehicle struck a male party near Freeport Road in the Rancho Peñasquitos neighborhood in San Diego. Officials later identified the car involved in the horrible crash as a 2017 Hyundai Elantra.

Shortly after 10 p.m., emergency teams arrived at the location. Responding paramedics performed life-saving measures to the pedestrian but he sadly succumbed to his injuries and died. Authorities briefly described the fatal victim as a 50-year-old man. Pending confirmation and notification of next of kin, the name of the deceased remained undisclosed.
