SAN BERNARDINO, California (May 29, 2018) — Randall Dean Hoffman, 51, of Barstow. was killed in a collision on the 215 Freeway near University Parkway early Monday morning, according to a report by the California Highway Patrol.
The crash took place about 5 a.m., leaving the rider trapped underneath one of the vehicles. Police closed down the freeway for roughly three hours to clear the damaged vehicles, debris and investigate the crash. Hoffman was transported to a hospital, but later died of his injuries.
Orange County Accident Investigation
Police are investigating this collision to determine fault. At this time, it is unknown what happened prior to the crash and which motorists are responsible. Hopefully there are also witnesses who can help authorities figure out the sequence of events that led to the crash.
