Randall Peters, 67, Critically Injured in Santa Rosa Crash on Highway 12
SANTA ROSA, CA (October 1, 2021) – Randall Peters was critically injured after a fatal head-on crash on Highway 12 west of Santa Rosa.
The California Highway Patrol identified the 67-year-old Healdsburg man as the victim of the wreck which occurred on Wednesday.
The incident happened when Randall Peters was driving a Chevrolet flatbed truck on Highway 12, east of Irwin Lane, in Santa Rosa.
For an unknown reason a blue GMC Sierra pickup truck crossed into the opposite lane. CHP said the GMC then slammed head-on into the Chevrolet.

The Press Democrat wrote that the accident took place on September 29 at around 10:30 a.m. Randall Peters sustained major injuries as a result of the crash.
Paramedics rushed him to the Providence Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital where they placed him in the ICU. CHP added that the driver of the pickup died as a result of the collision.
The coroner’s office named him as 42-year-old Santa Rosa resident Horacio Vigil. Meanwhile, the cause of the Santa Rosa crash is still under investigation.
Officers forced Highway 12 to shut down in both directions for more than three hours following the wreck.
