Rider Killed in Pittsburg Motorcycle Crash Identified
PITTSBURG (June 11, 2019) – Randall Utter, 61, of Antioch, was identified as the motorcyclist killed in a traffic collision Tuesday afternoon on Highway 4.
The California Highway Patrol reported the crash took place about 2:15 p.m.
Utter’s Harley-Davidson motorcycle and a BMW collided on the westbound side of Highway 4, just west of Somersville Road on-ramp .
The East Bay Times and East County Today reported that Utter was thrown off the bike and died at the scene.
The driver of the BMW did not report any injuries. The driver was questioned by police about what happened, but there were no arrests or citations noted.
The cause of the incident remains under investigation and witnesses may contact the CHP at 925-646-4980.
