Randall Wetmore, 62, ID’d as Suspect in Placerville DUI Crash
PLACERVILLE, CA (November 13, 2022) – Authorities detained Randall Wetmore after a DUI crash that injured one person in Placerville.
Officers determined that the 62-year-old Pollock Pines resident was under the influence when the wreck took place on Thursday.
The incident happened when Randall Wetmore was driving a GMC Sierra 2500 along Placerville Drive in the city. The GMC then slammed into a Toyota Camry Hybrid.

The two cars crashed near the Highway 50 overpass. The Mountain Democrat wrote that the accident occurred on November 10 at around 10 a.m.
Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene. They found the driver of the Toyota who ended up suffering from minor injuries as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel then rushed the victim to the Marshall Hospital for treatment. The report did not disclose the name of the wounded party and their condition at this time.
Meanwhile, officials soon arrested Randall Wetmore for DUI following the crash. The cause of the Placerville DUI crash is still under investigation.
