Randell Cox, 33, Hurt in Traffic Collision on State Route 3 Saturday
Hayfork, CA (July 12, 2021) – Randell Cox, a 33-year-old man, suffered injuries following a suspected DUI car crash on State Route 3 on July 10, Saturday.
The Action News Now reported Randell Cox was a passenger in a 2003 Honda heading south on the highway. When the vehicle approached the area near Wildwood Road, the driver allowed the car to veer off the traffic lanes.
The Honda ended up crashing into a dirt embankment and a tree. Per article published online, the force from the impact caused the vehicle to overturn.
Major Injury DUI Car Crash in Hayfork, July 10
During the crash, Randell Cox was ejected onto the roadway. Responding paramedics rendered aid to the both the passenger, and driver found at the scene with injuries. Our sources mentioned a helicopter airlifted the two patients to Mercy Hospital in Redding for treatment of major injuries.
Meanwhile, preliminary investigation revealed the driver of the Honda was intoxicated at the time of the collision. Police then arrested the man for driving under the influence resulting in injuries.
Further investigation on the car crash in Hayfork is underway.
