Fresno Man Killed in Crash on Highway 99
Fresno, Calif. (Oct. 24, 2021) – Rathanak Heng, 30, of Fresno, died Sunday morning in a collision on southbound Highway 99 and Highway 180.
The collision happened about 3:50 a.m. on Oct. 24th, according to the Fresno County Sheriff Coroner and Your Central Valley.
The driver in the Jaguar SUV allowed the vehicle to veer off the roadway due to unknown circumstances and onto the dirt shoulder. The SUV subsequently went down the side of the highway and overturned.
Rathanak Heng was reportedly not wearing a seat belt and was ejected from his SUV during the crash. He landed in the No. 3 traffic lane of the highway where two other vehicles struck his body on the roadway.

Additionally, paramedics responded and performed life-saving measures, but the man died at the scene.
The Fresno coroner identified the victim after notifying family members.
