Raylynn Dean and 3 Others Injured in Apple Valley Crash at Highway 18 and Rancherias
APPLE VALLEY (September 22, 2019) – An alleged DUI crash left several people injured at Highway 18 and Rancherias Road Saturday night.
According to an article published by Victor Valley News, one of the four victims in the accident has been identified as Raylynn Dean.
The incident happened on September 21 when Dean was traveling with another woman and a 11-year-old girl in a silver Toyota minivan south on Rancherias Road.
A white SUV headed east allegedly ran the red light and then struck a gray Nissan Z. The Nissan was stopped at the light in the intersection at the time.
Multi-Car Accident at Highway 18 and Rancherias Road Saturday
The impact forced the Nissan into the minivan. The Yukon continued, swerved to the right, and collided head-on with a black Nissan Xterra.
Paramedics responded to the scene and attended to a total of four people who suffered unspecified injuries as a result of the 9 p.m. crash.
Medical personnel rushed the victims, Dean and her two passengers and the driver of the Nissan sedan, to St. Mary Hospital for treatment. Their names and condition remained undisclosed.
Meanwhile, authorities arrested the male operator of the SUV for driving under the influence of alcohol. They ultimately charged the man with DUI causing injury.
