Man Riding Bicycle Hit by Pickup Truck in Fatal Buena Park Crash
BUENA PARK, Calif. (Oct. 10, 2018) — A bicyclist, identified as Raymond William Jaso, 52, also known as “Billy,” died in a collision with a pickup truck Monday night in Buena Park, according to the Orange County Sheriff Coroner.
The collision was reported about 6:18 p.m. on Oct. 7 at Darlington Avenue and Artesia Boulevard. Paramedics responded and rushed the man to UC Irvine Medical Center in Orange where he later died at 11:18 a.m. on Tuesday morning October 8.
The Buena Park Police Department is heading up the investigation into this collision.
The man’s sister is Assembly person Sharon Quirk-Silva representing the 65th Assembly District, encompassing parts of northern Orange County, the Orange County Register reported. She was previously the mayor of Fullerton. The Register noted that her brother had battled alcoholism and he was homeless.

Police are piecing together evidence and will determine fault for this crash.
