Pedestrian Struck, Killed Adelanto Hit-and-run Crash
ADELANTO, Calif. (Feb. 1, 2021) – Raymond Chavez, 55, of Hesperia, was struck in a fatal hit-and-run pedestrian accident Wednesday morning on Air Expressway in Adelanto.
The San Bernardino County Sheriff Coroner identified Raymond Chavez as the pedestrian killed in the Jan. 27 crash.
The deadly Adelanto hit-and-run pedestrian accident happened about 2:27 a.m., according to the California Highway Patrol.
The crash happened when the man was hit by the motorist near Pearmain Street.
The vehicle was heading down Air Expressway when the crash occurred.
Paramedics responded and located the injured man lying on the shoulder of Air Expressway.
Furthermore, the pedestrian suffered major injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.
Meanwhile, the driver fled the crash scene and so far has not been identified. Police are investigating the crash and seeking help locating the suspect.
