Raymond Wallace, 60, Fatally Struck by Vehicle on Highway 99 Saturday
Salida, CA (April 5, 2021) – A pedestrian accident that occurred on Highway 99 resulted in fatal injuries to Raymond Wallace, of Grover Beach, the Modesto Bee News reported.
On April 3, Saturday, a male party was seen walking in the far right lane of southbound SR-99 in Modesto. When the pedestrian approached Kiernan Avenue in Salida, a southbound vehicle struck the man. Officials identified the vehicle involved in the unfortunate event as a 2016 Jeep Grand Cherokee.

Our sources indicated the pedestrian, later identified as 60-year-old Raymond Wallace, landed on the road after the collision. Shortly after, a passing 2021 Freightliner and a 2006 Toyota both failed to avoid and hit the body lying in the roadway.
Responding paramedics sadly pronounced Raymond Wallace dead at the scene.
Meanwhile, authorities mentioned the truck operator, 59-year-old Juel Alston; and the driver of the Toyota, 47-year-old Richard Woodard, both appeared unharmed after the incident.
Detectives assigned to handle the case continue to investigate the precise cause of the pedestrian accident that killed Raymond Wallace.
