Oxnard Man ID’d as Victim Killed in Crash
LOS ANGELES, Calif. (Jan. 18, 2023) – Raymundo Garcia, 21, of Oxnard, was identified as the man who died in a multi-vehicle crash on the Ventura (101) Freeway
in the Calabasas area.
The collision occurred about 9:15 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 16th on the Ventura Freeway at Las Virgenes Road, according to the California Highway Patrol.
Raymundo Garcia, 21, of Oxnard died at the scene, according to the Los Angeles County coroner’s office.
Multi-Vehicle Crash on Ventura 101 Freeway
One of the vehicles involved reportedly went over the center divider and overturned on its roof. Firefighters responded and extricated two people trapped in the wreckage.
The Oxnard man died and a second person suffered minor injuries.
The cause of the fatal Calabasas crash remains under investigation.
