Rebecca Coronado-Obregon Fatally Struck by Vehicle Near McGowan Parkway
Yuba, CA (May 14, 2021) – Rebecca Coronado-Obregon, a 38-year-old woman, died following a pedestrian accident on Highway 70 in Yuba County.
On May 17, Friday, a vehicle struck a female party on Highway 70. Officers said the crash took place near the junction at McGowan Parkway.
The Kuba Radio News published an article online indicating Rebecca Coronado-Obregon, of Marysville, was walking south on the highway when the collision happened. Authorities said the unit portion where the catastrophic incident happened was not properly lit, possibly causing the crash.
Deadly Pedestrian Accident in Yuba County, May 14
When emergency crews arrived at the location, they found the female pedestrian unconscious. Paramedics performed life-saving measures to the woman, but she sadly succumbed to her injuries and died.
The Yuba County Coroner’s Office continue to withhold information on the driver involved in the unfortunate event. Detectives assigned to handle the case continue to investigate liability in the fatal collision.
