Major Injury Collision on State Highway 99
RED BLUFF, Calif. (Sept. 5, 2024) — A major injury car accident happened Thursday morning on State Highway 99, just south of Red Bluff near the Walmart Distribution Center in Rawson.
The two-vehicle collision occurred at 6:03 a.m. on Sept. 5th, according to the California Highway Patrol.
CHP officials reported the drivers of a Toyota Prius and a Ford pickup truck were involved. The Prius had major front-end damage and a man from one of the vehicles was “holding his chest like he may have hit the steering wheel,” the report said.
The Tehama County Fire Department responded to help those injured and requested an air ambulance for at least one person with major injuries.
Meanwhile, tow trucks removed the damaged vehicles and investigators are working to determine fault for the Red Bluff car accident.
